Challenge - Week 36

"Life affords no higher pleasure than that of surmounting difficulties, passing from one step of success to another, forming new wishes, and seeing them gratified.  He that labors in any great or laudable undertaking has his fatigues first supported by hope, and afterwards rewarded by joy...To strive with difficulties, and to conquer them, is the highest human felicity."

- Samuel Johnson

This Week

We went on a trip to the Pacific Coast (AKA the Best Coast). This gave us different opportunities than most of our challenges. I still contrived a photo because I couldn't resist. I should also point out that my Bus picture was chosen (but not uploaded) before this one on Flickr. Don't blame me because someone else stole my idea.

Pictures

Challenge 36We LABORED and reached HIGHER ground by CONQUERING a "DIFFICULT" trail. Upon SUCCEEDING with this UNDERTAKING, we were REWARDED with the GRATIFICATION of SEEING the Cape Disappointment Lighthouse.
Challenge 36This HUMAN LIFE form is LABORING in HOPES of SEEING SUCCESS at CONQUERING the wave.
Challenge 36This HUMAN LIFE form is taking ONE STEP in the fog.
Challenge 36At this point, we had not SEEN these HUMAN LIFE forms SUCCEED with SURMOUNTING DIFFICULTIES. This is a serious UNDERTAKING that requires a lot of FATIGUING LABOR.
Challenge 36We have been encouraged to participate at the America on the Move website. The idea is that the LABORS and FATIGUES from your STEPS will be REWARDED with CONQUERING trails online.

Other Ideas

Undertaking: A cemetery shot. (Too dark of a concept?)

Flickr Friday - Business as usual

Not only am I still dealing with a backlog, but I didn't even know what this week's theme was until I was back from our weekend camping trip. I didn't see anything in my shots that reflects this week's theme, so I have nothing to share.
