Challenge 2014 - Week #25

This week has been designated as a week to share a "blessing" for June.

This Week

Perhaps I could have gone after the Ospreys (the young have hatched), but I haven't gotten any good pictures this month. Since I found something else to fall back on, I will probably use the Ospreys for a future blessing.

I have been walking at Chambers Creek Properties for years. Most of what I see is nothing new. There is still always a possibility for me to add new species. Earlier this year, I had my first ever Eurasian Collared Doves. This month was the first time that I had seen Common Murres at the park. While this was not an all-time first for me (Alaska), it is a bird that has eluded me over the years in the Puget Sound region.

Picture

Common MurresAlthough they are not considered rare birds for us, these were actually the first Murres that I have ever found on the Puget Sound.

Flickr Friday

Like last week, I haven't been able to go after pictures for Flickr Friday.
