224 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 224 days away. Today's Picture:
Brandt's Cormorants
Taken on November 6, 2011

Brandt's Cormorants (Phalacrocorax penicillatus) have been known to line the North Dock this time of year. Double-crested Cormorants usually mix in. While I don't see any Pelagic Cormorants in this picture, that is another species commonly (but less frequently) seen. Anyone who has visited the park lately knows that this has not been one of our better years for the birds. This is because the dock is being removed. That also means that next year will be even worse for Cormorant sightings.
