189 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 189 days away. Golden-crowned Kinglet

This Golden-crowned Kinglet (Regulus satrapa) was seen near the Grandview Trail before I purchased my 500mm lens. With half the range, I managed what is probably my favorite kinglet shot. I was fairly close and got the beak open for this species that normally doesn't like to cooperate.
