117 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 117 days away. Today's Picture:
Green-winged Teal
Taken on February 23, 2013

The Green-winged Teal (Anas carolinensis) is our smallest duck. They are named after the green patches on their wings that are visible in flight. Like most ducks, the female is rather plain. Also like most ducks, they are wintering birds for us. They can be found on Chambers Creek. They also have been known to use the area across the trail from the sorting bins if there is enough water, particularly in the spring.
