120 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 120 days away. I'm not generally a patient person. I take long walks, and I can't justify waiting for a single picture. I decided make an exception for the female Red-winged Blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus). I was convinced that she was going to fly, so I turned my camera in her direction and waited. This is not an easy species to capture in flight, but my anticipatory decision to stick around paid off.
