128 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 128 days away. Today's Picture:
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Taken on February 10, 2013

Ruby-crowned Kinglets (Regulus calendula) are fairly common in the winter. Look for them along the switchbacks on the North side of the park and in the Canyon. These birds are fairly plain and can be confused with Hutton's Vireos. Males have a red crown that isn't always visible. A little can be seen in the picture above, which helped with identification.
