83 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 83 days away. Today's Picture:
Chambers Creek Osprey
Taken on April 7, 2012

We are almost to that time of year again. Ospreys (Pandion haliaetus) will probably start to appear within days. To celebrate, here's a picture that won't be replicated this year for two obvious reasons. For starters, we have lost access to the beach. The other reason is that this structure no longer exists. Since the dock was the only place other than the water where I have recorded Brandt's Cormorants (Phalacrocorax penicillatus). Don't expect any more shots from the park with an Osprey commingling with the Cormorants. That is, of course, if the replacement North Dock planned for the distant future (no plans for funding are currently in place) doesn't embrace a cormorant-approved design.
