332 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 332 days away. Today's Picture:

Taken on April 20, 2013

Various sandpipers use the beach at Chambers Creek Properties. Off of the top of my head, I have seen Least Sandpipers, Western Sandpipers, Spotted Sandpipers, Dunlins, Sanderlings, Whimbrels, and a Lesser Yellowlegs while walking the beach (and a few other sandpiper species elsewhere). Least and Western sandpipers look similar, but there is one key difference. Look at the legs. Western Sandpipers have black legs. This Least Sandpiper (Calidris minutilla) has yellow legs.
