342 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 342 days away. Today's Picture:

Taken on June 9, 2011

Fish are not big on my list of photography subjects primarily because it's not easy to get a shot or even a good look at animals that are always underwater. Toward the base of the switchbacks near the Central Meadow, there is a small pond. Fish, I believe they are koi, are frequently seen near the surface. They are not likely the best fish to represent the region, but their size, slow speed, and proximity to the surface make them the easiest fish to see and photograph in the park.
