293 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 293 days away. I like action shots. That's why I went after this Pigeon Guillemot (Cepphus columba) as it flew by the beach. If you want a similar shot, your best bet for now is by the North Dock. They usually fly further out, but they will occasionally fly in the area between the beach and the dock. Once that dock is removed, it will become much more difficult to get a decent picture of  a Guillemot in flight.
