314 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 314 days away. California Gulls (Larus californicus) are very common this time of year. They seem to be more social than our Glaucous-winged Gulls. If you find a bunch of Gulls together during the summer, they are probably California Gulls. They move around a bit, so there are no reliable locations to look for them. Among their favorites are the North Dock and the sandy area of the South Beach. Notice the black and red spot on their bill, black wingtips, and yellow legs. Those should help with identification.
