320 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 320 days away. Today's Picture:

Taken on August 2, 2013

This is a great time of year to watch our Ospreys (Pandion haliaetus). The young are flying. If you are struggling to tell them apart from their parents, look for the speckled backs, slight coloration on the back of the neck and under the wings, and the reddish eyes. These two young Ospreys sharing a piling were raised on the railroad bridge. A lot of people overlook that nest because we have a closer, more accessible nest. It was nice to have these two come down because I have always struggled to get decent shots of their nest.
