288 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 288 days away. Today's Picture:
Barn Swallow
Taken on September 3, 2011

Barn Swallow (Hirundo rustica) sightings should be winding down. Swallows are usually tough to photograph. They are small birds that fly around and change directions frequently. Your best hope to get a good look is if they land on one of the fences. There is one spot in particular that has given me the most success with this species. Along the Soundview Trail, not far from where the trail splits up to allow people to walk around  the Central Meadow, the trail runs in front of the old sorting bins (concrete slabs). Opposite from the sorting bins, there's a small concrete area with a small tunnel running underneath (there's also a tunnel under the sorting bins where I suspect the swallows nest). The picture above and several others were taken on the fence right above that small concrete area.
