The East Slope Trail is the best spot to look for Red-tailed Hawks (Buteo jamaicensis). Knowing that helped my find this one. If I see some fidgeting, I aim my camera and hope for some action.

169 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay
I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 169 days away.
