162 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 162 days away. Today's Picture:
Barrow's Goldeneye
Taken on January 18, 2013

Barrow's Goldeneyes (Bucephala islandica) are not seen as reliably as the related Common Goldeneye. Despite their smaller numbers, you should be able to find them each year. This winter, I have found them once on the Puget Sound and several times on Chambers Creek. Like most ducks, the male is easier to identify. Look for the crescent-shaped spot on the head.
