Challenge 2015 - Week 14

This week's quote comes from a scripture. Since I am not comfortable using my blog to promote what I do not believe, I will only provide the words that I pursued:
love, mind, strength

This Week

I had absolutely no ideas. I could come up with thoughts for love (I saw some Red-tailed Hawk porn this week), but I didn't think it was a good idea to stop at one word. Perhaps I could have added strength, but that would be an incredible stretch just to get a second word.

When trying to come up with a way to add a second word, I thought about the locks on the Bridge to the Beach. Locks are not designed to be removed easily. They have strength. Why do people put these on the bridge? To show their love. Looking through my archives for a picture taken way back in the days that the bridge was not blocked off by workers preparing for the US Open (We're hosting the next golf major), I found a picture that might work.

I still stretched a bit. I used "never mind" for the word mind. I couldn't help myself. I always thought it was strange that people would lock their love onto a location where it can't remain due to future plans for the bridge. My best guess is that these people don't know the plans.

Due to the work at the Central Meadow (where the bridge is located), I added a bit of an explanation to my picture that can be found on Flickr. I don't want anybody seeing my recently uploaded pictures and wondering how I got to the bridge.

Challenge 14***Old Picture***
A number of people have used the STRENGTH of a lock to show their LOVE. Never MIND the fact that these locks will eventually have to be removed when the county finally builds the replacement for the North Dock (the old dock which no longer exists can be seen in the background). The plans for the new dock would extend this bridge to the new structure.
