43 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 43 days away. Today's Picture:
Chambers Creek Osprey
Taken on April 9, 2011

Our most cooperative Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) pair has now nested in three locations in the last three years. The first was their continuing use of the North Dock which was removed last year. That's where this one was when I snapped its picture. Last year, they were evicted from their home when a tarp was thrown over their nest after an installed deterrent proved ineffective. Instead of moving to a new nesting platform that was erected for them, they moved to the structure at the Central Meadow commonly known as the Swing Set. This year, they have left the Swing Set and moved to the nesting platform that they shunned last year.
