46 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 46 days away. Great Horned Owl

When Great Horned Owls (Bubo virginianus) are through with their nesting sites, they tend to stay in the area. It's been much more difficult lately to find our local owls, but I have found them a few times. This is one of the kids that hatched this year primarily from behind with the head conveniently turned.
