Challenge - Week 26

“God puts rainbows in the clouds so that each of us- in the dreariest and most dreaded moments- can see a possibility of hope.”

-Maya Angelou

This Week

I have had a lot to do lately while struggling with the heat. This means that my first set of challenge pictures posted to my new blog is also perhaps my worst set of challenge pictures so far.

Pictures

Challenge 26These CLOUDS were seen near sunrise, givining us the POSSIBILITY OF HOPE that the entire day wouldn't be dominated by DREADED weather (we actually did have a brief shower). Unortunately, the clouds vanished as the evil fireball of death took control over our conditions.
Challenge 26 - RainbowKite displaying a RAINBOW of colors at a kite festival.

Other Ideas

It's pretty obvious what to look for in a rainbow, and I saw one this week. It was faint, but I still grabbed a camera. To help the colors, I also grabbed a polarizing filter. When I was trying for the shot, I realized that my filter was dirty. I headed inside and wiped off the dust. I headed back outside, and the rainbow was gone.

Flickr Friday - Polka Dots

Like I said, I have been busy lately. I decided that I would try to get a decent shot of a Northern Flickr or European Starling if one landed right in front of me. I could have passed off their spotted patterns as polka dots. I did not get that opportunity, and I wasn't going to look too hard to find a replacement. Perhaps I could have taken that rainbow picture and passed off the dirt as polka dots. Instead, I will not be submitting a picture for this lower priority challenge.
