Challenge - Week 43

"The very least you can do in your life is figure out what you hope for.  And the most you can do is live inside that hope.  Not admire it from a distance but live right in it, under it's roof"
- Barbara Kingsolver

This Week

I struggled to come up with ideas this week. The only things I could think of were a roof where Cliff Swallows probably nest and a nesting cavity. Since we are in fall, I couldn't exactly find an active nest.

Pictures

European Starlings***Old Picture***
European Starlings LIVE INSIDE a nesting cavity. This shot shows them LIVING RIGHT IN IT.
Challenge 43In the summer, Cliff Swallows LIVE UNDER this ROOF. I will NOT ADMIRE them during the winter since they are no longer in the state. I should point out that this picture was taken at a further DISTANCE than I wanted due to the closure of the East Slope Trail.

Other Ideas

There was a rainbow during my walk today. It was near the lone fir on the Chambers Bay golf course. A rainbow next to the fir wasn't going to work. I continued my walk in hopes of getting the fir under the rainbow so that it would be "living under" the rainbow. Unfortunately, the rainbow vanished as I reached the proper angle.

Flickr Friday - The 10th Floor

Local buildings don't reach 10 floors. Perhaps I could have created something that fit, or maybe I could have headed to downtown Tacoma. With my backlog, I don't feel like I could justify these approaches. This means we have another week without a Flickr Friday upload.
