364 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 364 days away. Today's Picture:

Taken on June 16, 2013

Prior to 2014, Ospreys (Pandion haliaetus) nested on the North Dock. The county has acquired grant money to remove the old docks on the property, so they have forced the Ospreys to relocate. Their new home is on the Central Meadow's concrete structure that is commonly referred to as, "the Swing Set." The earliest I have ever found the young on the nest is June 16, so visitors to the park might want to start paying closer attention to the nest. More than likely, they have hatched before that date, but remained hidden in their nest. With the upward angle we now have, it might be tougher to find the kids in their earliest days.
