365 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 365 days away. Today's Picture:

Taken on June 9, 2011

I don't want to waste my best pictures early on, but I at least wanted something with meaning. That's why I went with our state bird, the Willow Goldfinch (Carduelis tristis). Most field guides refer to this bird as an American Goldfinch, but I prefer to stick with our local name. These yellow birds can be seen throughout the park during the summer, particularly in shrubs bordering open areas.
