351 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 351 days away. I would say that the Cedar Waxwing (Bombycilla cedrorum) is among our more attractive summer birds. They are very easy to recognize (unless we ever get a stray Bohemian Waxwing) thanks to their crests, black masks, and yellow-tipped tails. You might be able to find them in the trees on the North side of the park or along the Grandview Trail, but your best shot to see these birds in the park is probably along the East Slope Trail.
