Challenge 2014 - Week 32

"Some people see more in a walk on the beach than others see in a trip around the world."

This Week

While I have been posting a single quick shot lately, I felt that this quote required a little more. I decided to share several pictures from a single walk on the beach. I decided that variety was a little more important than quantity.

Among the more noteworthy components of this walk was that I essentially encountered a double sunrise. The sun rose over some clouds before heading behind another layer. Then the sun rose over that additional cloud layer. Both times, I saw the general characteristics of a sunrise, including the vibrant colors. My camera settingd in the first shot resulted in less vibrant colors, but I think that worked better for the overall scene.

In addition to the sunrise, I included wildlife and man-made creations. That means a mammal, a bird, a bridge, and a ferry were all included in these pictures.

Other Ideas

I was considering going after the beach with a plane in the background. The idea was that I could be seeing a lot more on the beach while others who are travelling are missing the opportunity. I was also considering going after a stretch of the South Beach at Chambers Creek Properties where Gulls and Terns like to hang out. During my walks this week, the tides were uncooperative.

Flickr Friday - Moonlight

I stumbled into a couple sunlight pictures for Flickr Friday. Oops. The theme was moonlight, not sunlight. Like I keep saying, Flickr Friday is low on my list of priorities this week. I'm skipping again.
