277 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 277 days away. I will admit that I was hesitant to report this Sanderling (Calidris alba) to eBird. I looked at their map and couldn't find evidence that they actually used this area. Over the years, there had been sightings reported at Point Defiance and Nisqually, but absolutely nothing anywhere between those points. Even now, the above bird is the only report of a Sanderling showing in this area. Of course, I'm fairly confident that I had seen them in years prior to the 2013 creation of my eBird account.

I have a confession to make. I wrote this text a couple weeks ago. I have added a couple sightings this month.
