278 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 278 days away. Today's Picture:
Band-tailed Pigeon
Taken on June 14, 2014

Band-tailed Pigeons (Patagioenas fasciata) are a common sighting during the summer along Chambers Creek. You don't have to get a very good look at Band-tailed Pigeons to tell them apart from invasive Rock Pigeons. If a Pigeon lands in a tree, it's a pretty safe assumption that you are looking at a Band-tailed Pigeon. If it lands on a man-made structure, it's probably a Rock Pigeon.
