279 Days until the US Open at Chambers Bay

I have been walking Chambers Creek Properties for years. I have been carrying a camera since 2009. With the US Open coming to the Chambers Bay Golf Course, which is part of the property, I have decided to share a picture each day for the 365 days leading up to the tournament. The US Open is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2015. As of today, we are 279 days away. The best places to wind Downy Woodpeckers (Picoides pubescens) in the park include the Canyon and the trees at the North side of the park. They seem to like smaller trees than most of our other woodpecker species. This is perhaps why we had one spending time along the East Slope Trail this year.
