Progress Update - September 2014

Recent Pictures

Progress! I am finally working on my backlog. I am prioritizing Osprey pictures until they leave from the area. My second highest priority is pictures from Chambers Creek Properties. After that, I need to work on vacation pictures. I don't have many pictures to look through that were taken before my vacation, so I might actually do those first. I'm not sure what they even were, so they might not have an impact on my collection.

I also have a lot of background tasks that I'm working on. Backing up files is a big one. For the most part, these are waiting until I catch up on the backlog and some personal projects. There will be exceptions. I might have time for these background tasks when I really don't have time to dive into the backlog. I also might want a periodic change of pace.

I'm still moving somewhat slowly. As I have stated before, it's hard to sit by my computer when it's too warm inside. I haven't had much of that later in the day. Earlier in the summer, I couldn't even handle mornings. At least that part has changed. I'm generally getting at least some work done in the mornings, especially on my work days. I leave earlier on my non-work days, so that is when I'm most likely to work on the background tasks. As the season changes, more time will be available in the mornings, so this will probably shift. Conditions should gradually improve to the point where I might someday be able to work on pictures later in the day.

My backlog of recent pictures is caught up through June 14. Chambers Creek Properties pictures are caught up through July 12. Ospreys are completely caught up at the moment. All of these pictures have been added to my photostream.

Older Pictures

With the exception of pictures used in my countdown, older pictures are on hold.

eBird

I am currently treating eBird updates as a background task. Outside of any pictures I may have used for verification, I am not actively adding pictures to my checklists. Pictures have only been added to the checklists through May 3.

Personal Projects

For now, I'm down to just the countdown for my personal projects. I have multiple tasks that I will be working on related to vacation pictures once I get through Chambers Creek Properties, I will likely slow down a bit. Some of the work will be done as I work on vacation pictures. Others will be done after I'm finished. At that point, I will probably shift my focus more toward my yearly Xmas present with public pictures becoming lower priority. I will likely still work on Chambers Creek, but other pictures in my backlog will essentially be put on hold.
