Progress Update - October 2013

Recent Pictures

Last month, I mentioned that I had a couple areas in my picture collection that would take longer than usual. I finished the Maritime Fest faster than anticipated, and it looks like the same will be true for the camping trip. The current closure of the East Slope Trail at Chambers Creek Properties will probably accelerate the process of catching up on my backlog slightly. Those walks will be shorter, resulting in fewer pictures to go through. It will also increase the odds of going to other locations. For example, I have added two trips to Nisqually since my last update. It's also possible that I could add an abnormal trip that could take extra time.

I am still over a month behind, but I have been gaining ground ever since completing Point Defiance flower pictures. I will probably be pushing fairly hard for a while. I really want to be caught up by the next update (a reason for this will be explained below), but that will be a difficult goal to accomplish.

Older Pictures

With my backlog of recent pictures, I have not gotten any work in on adding pictures to my Flickr account that were taken before I signed up.

eBird

I have still been adding to eBird as I complete (totally complete, including things not seen in these updates) each day. As of right now, I am done through July 19.

Personal Projects

After my first Osprey-less day, I bumped up the priority of going through this year's Osprey pictures. While this included tasks such as printing, I also created a blog post to share with the public. Everything else is still on hold. This includes the Xmas gift I give to family members every year. I really need to get some work done on this, and I don't want to have to hold off on everything until the last month. This is why I am trying harder to push myself to catch up.
