Challenge 2014 - Week 33

"Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
- Mark Twain

This Week

The obvious approach to this quote would be to pursue a sailboat. There was a slight problem. The tides were not cooperative to justify walking the beach. Not only that, but the Evil Fireball of Death is still giving me problems. Walks continue to be cut short, and I don't have much outdoor time to pursue the challenge. Instead, I went back into my older pictures and brought out our state ship, the Lady Washington, from last year's Maritime Fest.

Lady Washington***Old Picture***
The Lady Washington is a replica of a ship that sailed with the more famous Columbia Rediviva. The original SAILED the Northwest. While it wasn't primarily used to make new DISCOVERIES, it did EXPLORE the PACIFIC and was the first to a number of accomplishments. The newer ship started as a DREAM for our state's centennial in 1989. It is now our State Ship.

This was yet another theme I didn't pursue. I didn't find it interesting, and I have much more important things to do.
